Michigan returns to action at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational after a memorable 2016-17 season, where the Wolverines caught fire in March, rattling off six straight wins to clinch the 2017 Big Ten Tournament Championship as well as make a run to the Sweet 16.

All-Big Ten honorable mention honoree Moritz Wagner returns after a breakout sophomore season and figures to play an integral role in the lineup. Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and Duncan Robinson will join him as crucial returning players. Graduate transfer Jaaron Simmons also looks to be a big part of the team this year, coming off a season at Ohio where he averaged 15.9 points per game and 6.5 assists per game.

With key contributors Derrick Walton Jr., Zak Irvin and D.J. Wilson moving on to play professionally, the Wolverines will look to Kentucky transfer Charles Matthews and their three highly touted recruits – Isaiah Livers, Eli Brooks and Jordan Poole – to make an impact.

Michigan will open the Maui Jim Maui Invitational against LSU in the final game of the day on Monday. The game will tip at 6:30 p.m. HT and will be televised by ESPNU.
