On December 2, the Texas Longhorns faced the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2020 Camping World Maui Invitational Championship. At the half, Texas led the Tar Heels 40-28, but UNC made a quick comeback keeping a close score for the remainder of the game. 

With 2.2 seconds left in the game, UNC and Texas tied with 67 points, Matt Coleman III, 2020 Dr. Sue Wesselkamper MVP, scored a field goal to take the lead and bring the Longhorns to victory. 

2020 marks Texas' fifth Tournament appearance (1993, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2020) and their first Championship Title. Tournament MVP, Matt Coleman scored a total of 22 points in their final game of the Tournament, followed by Courtney Ramey with 13 points.
