Syracuse Wins 2013 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational!

Orange defeat Baylor Bears 74-67 to win 3rd EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Title

The 30th annual EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Championship Game matchup between No. 7 Syracuse and No. 17 Baylor capped off an exciting week of college basketball at the 2,400-seat Lahaina Civic Center on the beautiful island of Maui. The Orange won its third Tournament championship, defeating Baylor, 74-67.

The game, broadcast nationally on ESPN, featured nine players who scored in double figures, led by Syracuse's C.J. Fair with 24 points. The Baltimore, Md. native finished the Tournament averaging 18.0 ppg and 6.3 rpg.

"I think this was a great tournament for us, particularly our young guards. I think it was very helpful for them, and figuring out how to make plays three nights in a row," said Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim.

The Tournament win improves Syracuse's EA SPORTS Maui Invitational record to 9-0 in the Championship Round. The Orange also won the Tournament in 1990 and 1998.
