The Maui Invitational and Allstate announced today a sponsorship agreement.
The 2023 Allstate Maui Invitational will take place at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa from Nov. 20 to 22. This year's Tournament has shifted to Oʻahu while its traditional home court – the Lahaina Civic Center – serves as a critical hub for Maui wildfire recovery efforts.
For four decades, the Maui Invitational has been a magnet for the nation's top college basketball programs, and this year is no different. Five of the eight teams competing in November are in the top 15 of the AP Top 25 preseason poll, including Kansas (#1), Purdue (#3), Marquette (#5), Tennessee (#9) and Gonzaga (#11).
"The Allstate brand is synonymous with high quality college athletic competition, and we are excited to welcome them as the title sponsor of the 2023 Maui Invitational," says Tom Valdiserri, executive vice president of KemperSports LIVE. "The Maui Invitational is the premier early-season college basketball event, and this year's field may be our strongest ever. We're looking forward to our partnership with Allstate and an incredible three days of Sun, Surf and Hoops with the top-tier programs, players, coaches and fans in the country."
Combined, the eight teams in the 2023 Allstate Maui Invitational – Tennessee, Syracuse, Purdue, Gonzaga, Kansas, Chaminade, UCLA and Marquette – boast 263 NCAA Tournament appearances, 17 NCAA Tournament Championship Titles, and three AP Coach of the Year award winners. All eight programs are making a return appearance in the Tournament, including four that have earned a championship title: Kansas (1996, 2015, 2019); Syracuse (1990, 1998, 2013); Gonzaga (2009, 2018); and UCLA (2006).
