Kansas Tops Chaminade, Advances to Allstate Maui Invitational Semifinals

HONOLULU - The Kansas Jayhawks had a strong showing against Chaminade in their Allstate Maui Invitational opener, picking up an 83-56 win over the Silverswords.
 
KU senior Hunter Dickinson posted a 31-point, 11-rebound double-double, while graduate senior Kevin McCullar Jr. became the first Kansas player with back-to-back triple-doubles (22 points, 10 assists, 11 rebounds). KU made 36 of its 60 field goal attempts (compared to Chaminade's 21-62 mark) and outrebounded the Silverswords, 41-26.
 
Jamir Thomas, Ross Reeves and Wyatt Lowell led the Silverswords in scoring with 12 points each.
 
Kansas will face Marquette in the second semifinal game on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. HT / 10:30 p.m. ET for a spot in the Allstate Maui Invitational championship. Chaminade will play UCLA on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. HT / 5:00 p.m. ET for its second game.
