MAUI, Hawaii (Nov. 23, 2022) – Cincinnati used a strong second half to earn an 81-62 victory over Louisville on the final day of the 2022 Maui Jim Maui Invitational. The Bearcats were led by David DeJulius who had a season-high 26 points in the win.
The first half featured 16 lead changes and five ties as both teams battled it out to a halftime score of Cincinnati 31, Louisville 30.
The Bearcats used strong shooting and solid defense to pull away in the second half as they turned eight forced turnovers into 18 points. The lead got as large as 18 before Louisville cut it back to 10 with 4:54 remaining but following a quick timeout, Cincinnati knocked down two threes and would go on to win the game by 19.
Landers Nolley II also added 21 points for the Bearcats while Brandon Huntley-Hatfield led the way for Louisville with 15 points.
