Following an 18-point loss to Stanford on Day 1, the Crimson Tide came to play on Day 2, beating the Runnin' Rebels 86-74.
Alabama senior John Petty Jr. finished with 22 points, making 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. Despite going into the half tied up at 38 apiece, Petty and sophomore Jaden Shackelford quickly secured a 6-point advantage. The Crimson Tide would hold a lead for the remainder of the game.
UNLV's Caleb Grill led the team with 27 points and seven three-pointers. Junior Bryce Hamilton had 17 points and seven boards on the night.
Alabama will play Providence in Game 11 of the Tournament on Dec. 2 at 7 pm ET.
UNLV will play Davidson in Game 12 of the Tournament on Dec. 2 at 9:30 pm ET.
