Ducks Take Season Opener vs. Army, 91-77
Led by Dillon Brooks' 21 points, five Oregon players scored in double figures to pull away from Army, 91-77, in the season opener for both squads on Friday night.
Brooks led all scorers in the game on 7 of 11 shooting. Four other teammates finished with at least 12 points as Payton Pritchard finished with 15, Jordan Bell and Chris Boucher each finished with 14, to go along with eight rebounds, while Roman Sorkin had 12. Army shot 50 percent from the field in the second half to close the gap, but could not overcome its halftime deficit. The Black Knights were led by Kennedy Edwards' 17 points, with Matt Wilson chipping in 10 off the bench.
Oregon will next travel to Baylor for a nationally televised contest on Tuesday. Army will next take on Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday before hosting the Maui Jim Maui Invitational Regional Games next weekend.

Wisconsin Starts Its Season with a W, defeating Central Arkansas 79-47
A balanced Wisconsin offense that saw 11 different players find the basket led the Badgers to a 79-47 victory over Central Arkansas in each team's season opener.
No Wisconsin player played more than 24 minutes in the game, and three scored in double figures, while defensively holding Central Arkansas to just 28 percent shooting. Senior Bronson Koenig scored a team-high 16 points, while Ngel Hayes chipped in 14 and Zak Showalter finished with 10. Derrick Brooks record a team-high 12 points for Central Arkansas, while Jordan Howard chipped in 10.
Coming up, the Badgers will hit the road to face Creighton on Tuesday, while Central Arkansas will face Oklahoma State in its second Maui Jim Maui Invitational Opening Game on Monday.

Chattanooga takes season opener vs. Tennessee, 82-69
With one of the youngest squads of his coaching career, Rick Barnes' Tennessee squad dropped its season opener, 82-69 to the Chattanooga Mocs, which returns a roster laden with players from last season's school-record 29-win campaign.
The Volunteers shot just 33 percent from the field, including 1-of-16 from 3-point range, and had 18 turnovers in the contest. Jordan Bone led the way with 21 points for Tennessee, while Lamonte Turner and Robert Hubbs III added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Four Chattanooga players scored in double-figures, led by Justin Tuoyo's 22 points, while Tre' McLean added 21. The Mocs shot nearly 59 percent from the field in the second half.
The Volunteers next take on Appalachian State on Tuesday, while Chattanooga will next take on North Carolina in its second Maui Jim Maui Invitational Opening Game on Tuesday.
