Kids Clinics
Chaminade University held the first two adidas Hoops Clinics presented by Hawaiian Airlines for kids in October. Both were held on the island of Oahu, with the first taking place on October 5th at Spalding Clubhouse at the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii in Honolulu, and the second on October 19th at Ewa Beach Boys & Girls Club at the Hale Pono Clubhouse in Ewa Beach.
Nearly 100 kids, ranging from 3rd-8th grade, were in attendance. The Chaminade University men's and women's basketball players and coaches, as well as the staff from the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, helped the youngsters improve their passing, dribbling, defensive and offensive skills. Each basketball player in attendance took home an official adidas ball, as well as a souvenir t-shirt.
The last adidas Hoops Clinic presented by Hawaiian Airlines for Kids will be held on the island of Maui. The clinic will take place on the DreamCourt near the Lahaina Civic Center, the home of the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, on November 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
Coaches Clinics
For the fourth straight year, the coaches clinics provided an opportunity for high school, junior high and community level basketball coaches to better their coaching techniques, skills and management styles from knowledgeable basketball coaches. This year, a team of four current and former college basketball coaches served as clinicians in coaches clinics designed for community high school, middle school and youth basketball coaches. The clinicians taught the local coaches fundamentals, drills, and player management tactics.
The first coaches clinic was held at Maui High School on the island of Maui on October 24th. The clinicians then traveled to Oahu, and hosted a clinic at McCabe Gym on the campus of Chaminade on October 27th.

DreamCourt
This year, as part of the Tournament's 30th annual celebration, the Maui kids clinic will take place on the newly installed DreamCourt. This public outdoor court is a recent addition to the Lahaina Civic Center complex that was made possible by a donation by the Nancy Lieberman Foundation, a 2013 coach's clinician and Tournament friend, along with the WorldVentures Foundation. Clinic participants will include kids from Maui and the neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai.
