Bronson Koenig scored 21 points to lead all scorers as Wisconsin knocked off Tennessee, 74-62, in the opening game of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational on Monday.
 
The Badgers led by as many as 17 points midway through the first, but the Volunteers battled back to take the lead midway through the second half, but the Badgers pulled slowly pulled away as the half wore on. Nigel Hayes finished with 17 points, while Ethan Happ finished with 16. Shembari Phillips led the way for Tennessee with 16 points, while Robert Hubbs III and Detrick Mostella each had 12.
 
Wisconsin advances to Tuesday's first semifinal, scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, where it will face either Georgetown or Oregon, while the loser of that game will face Tennessee at 1:30 p.m.
